BeforeA luxury vacation rental brand in the Pacific

Three sources, three answers.

Google Ads, GA4 and the property-management system each reported a different revenue figure for the same two months. Budget decisions were being made on the highest one. Roughly three-quarters of revenue landed in Direct or Unassigned because the guest crossed from the marketing site to the booking engine on another domain and the session broke on the way.

What we didThe work, in order.

The work, in order.

  • Week 1: Reconciled the three sources for the same window: $173,555 reported by Ads, $100,646 provable from reservations.
  • Week 2: Repaired cross-domain measurement through the booking engine so the session survived the hand-off.
  • Week 3: Joined the click identifier to the reservation record, so each booking carried its campaign.
  • Week 4: Put call tracking on the two numbers staff actually answer, since 61 percent of bookings still start on the phone or by email.
  • Month 2: Moved budget off twelve ads that landed on the homepage and added informational negatives.
AfterWhat changed.

What changed.

  • $100,646 proven, click to booking
  • 27% OTA floor, now visible instead of hidden in Direct
  • 61% of bookings start by phone or email, now tracked
