This page explains how to make Second Step delete data about you or your business. It exists so that anyone, including the review teams at Google and Meta, can find the steps in one place.
We confirm every deletion by email within 30 days. Contact: [email protected].
If you connected a Google account to a Labs tool
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Second Step. This stops all reading immediately.
- Email us with the subject "Delete my data" from the email address you signed in with, or use the Delete account button in the tool if your plan shows one.
- We delete the stored Google user data and your account within 30 days, and purge backups within a further 30 days. You receive a confirmation email when the primary deletion is complete.
If you connected a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) account
- In Facebook, open Settings, then Business Integrations, find Second Step and remove it. Or, in Meta Business Suite, remove the app from your business settings.
- When you remove the app, Meta sends us an automated deletion request. We act on it without you doing anything else, and the confirmation code Meta shows you can be used to check status by emailing it to us.
- You can also email us directly with the subject "Delete my data".
If you connected a property-management system
- Disconnect the integration in your property-management system, or email us to disconnect it for you.
- Email us with the subject "Delete my data". We delete the stored reservation identifiers, values and dates within 30 days.
If you filled in a form or emailed us
Email us with the subject "Delete my data" from the address you used. We delete the submission and our correspondence with you, except where an invoice or tax record must be kept by law.
If you are or were an agency client
Email your account contact or the address above. We return or delete working files, revoke our access to your accounts, and confirm in writing. Invoices and tax records are kept for the period Indian law requires and then deleted.
What deletion means
Deleted means removed from our live systems within 30 days and from backups within a further 30 days. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you or your business, such as "average share of unattributed revenue across accounts we have audited", are not personal data and are kept.
